Totally agree — I had the exact problem and got it working by recreating the automation. Took me forever to find that setting.
MQTTMaster: Does anyone else see delays with automations? It's worse when the hub reboots.

Quick note: Matter support was deprecated in the latest update. Switch to Zigbee2MQTT instead.
